A Half Marathon & 5K road race organized by Lunchbox Promises Foundation – a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization committed to combating childhood hunger through community involvement by promoting health, sport and physical exercise. This half marathon is an out-and-back course that runs nearly the entire length of Morehead City, NC; beginning in downtown, the route takes runners along Calico Creek Boardwalk, through residential backroads, into Medical Park and along Bridges Street before cutting through Swinson Park and finally turning around at West Carteret High School. With an early Saturday morning race in November, make a vacation out of your race weekend by enjoying the rest of what North Carolina’s Crystal Coast has to offer.
